10 Jul Accessibility Review: The Magic of Life Butterfly House
We’ve just visited The Magic of Life Butterfly House in Cwm Rheidol. It is a small tourist attraction located approximately 1 hour from our lodges.
The butterfly house is located behind the Rheidol Visitor Centre.
The approach to the butterfly house has asphalt-laid paths approximately 4 feet wide. The attraction is on the level and stone paths take you to the entrance.
The inside is flat about 30 feet square, and access is flat. The butterflies fly around inside the polytunnels. The ground is wet but laid to concrete so be aware it’s slippery for people who can walk. I would advise a stick if your walking is poor. Wheelchair users will be fine. Also, be aware the inside temperature is maintained at 30°C for the butterflies.
There is a small garden centre attached which is flat and wheelchair accessible.
Toilets are available in the Visitor Centre next door.
