15 Jul Accessibility Review: Borth Animalarium
I visited Borth Animalarium last week. This is a tourist attraction that houses various animals. I would recommend a visit only in good weather.
The paths are wide enough for wheelchair users – both manual and power chairs – but the paths are in a poor state of repair.
The accessible toilet is large enough to accommodate a chair but needs modernisation.
The cafe isn’t really accessible. There is an outside area by the cafe that is flat and accessible but the picnic tables aren’t wheelchair friendly. For accessible attractions, this would probably be difficult for wheelchair users to make good use of.
I made a few suggestions as to improving the attraction. Hopefully the owners will look at some modest improvements.
