Help us fundraise for specialist disability equipment

As you may have already read on our About page, I was injured in a paragliding accident 14 years ago in France, suffering a spinal cord injury. During recovery, I wanted to build lodges for disabled people to have holidays here in mid-Wales and I am proud to have reached that goal in 2022.

We have welcomed lots of lovely visitors including several disabled people and their families since the lodges first opened, and they have thoroughly enjoyed the freedom that our holiday lodges allow. Feedback is excellent, but we want to improve our facilities and provide specialist disability equipment too so that even severely disabled people can enjoy a holiday with us at Mid Wales Lodges.

We need specialist disability equipment

We have purchased basic disability aids to improve the facilities and now want to provide specialist equipment for our lodges to be accessible to more disabled people. We have a fantastic space to offer but not the equipment. At present, if visitors need certain items to support their stay, they bring their own or hire specialist equipment.

Specialist disability equipment is expensive, so we ask for contributions towards our goal. Ideally, we would like to purchase a manual hoist, profiling beds, riser recliner chairs and hoists for the hot tubs.

We have achieved so much already – please help us to reach our next goal!

Please donate to our fundraiser

I have launched a fundraiser with GoFundMe, and any donations towards this fundraiser will help us to improve the disabled facilities at our lodges. We want to provide a space where disabled people can join in with family and friends in a comfortable environment, feel more inclusive and enjoy a holiday. If anyone can help, we would be very grateful. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated, and all funds received will go towards this worthwhile cause.

Thank you.

Richard
