For those of you who would like to use the woodburner in our lodge, but don’t know how to, I have put together this easy guide.
These pictures show a simple way to build the initial fire. Start with a piece of firelighter, add kindling, add a few bigger bits of wood and then light the firelighter with a long match. Then close the door to the woodburner, and close the child gate. Time to sit back and enjoy!
This is not an absolute guide, but it’s how I do it. Remember to have the vents partly open, and only use dry wood approved by HETAS. We provide the instruction manual, which may be helpful to read prior to operating the woodburner.
